Marietta and Kennesaw eateries with outdoor seating

Marietta and Kennesaw are lucky to have a variety of restaurants and cafes that provide charming patio spaces where we can savor our favorite meals outdoors. Here are four of my family's favorite Marietta and Kennesaw restaurants with outdoor seating:

Marietta & Kennesaw's best picnic spots

Grab and Go to the Park! National Eat Outside Day is the perfect excuse to pack up a picnic and head to the nearest park in Marietta and Kennesaw for an outdoor feast!

Three of the best spots for a picnic in Marietta and Kennesaw? My family loves:

Reserve a picnic area for your next social gathering. Swift-Cantrell Park has three 1,320 sq. ft. open-air pavilions, each with enough picnic tables and charcoal grills to accommodate 60 people. Pavilions can be reserved online. Rates start at only $20 per hour for a Kennesaw city resident.

Two covered picnic areas with tables and grills are ideal for small or large gatherings of all types. Plan your next birthday party or family reunion well in advance.  Reservations can be made online.  Both pavilions are located near the parking lot, playground, and ponds.

There is a pavilion with picnic tables, and a bikeshare terminal for riding on the Noonday Creek Trail, which goes right by the park. *Pro-tip, don't have time to pack a lunch?  Grab something fast and drop by for some fun and watch the planes take off and land.

Take it to the backyard

Rather eat at home? Order takeout and take that picnic right outside on your front stoop, or back lawn! For an at-home outdoor dining feast, my family typically orders takeout from Marietta or Kennesaw's Los Magueys Mexican RestaurantSonny's BBQ, or Chick-fil-A.

If time is tight? A simple PBJ on the porch will do the trick just fine!

No matter how you do it, celebrate National Eat Outside Day this year! If you take part, make sure to tag Macaroni KID Marietta-Kennesaw in social media posts so we can see how you celebrated in Marietta and Kennesaw!

Bon appétit!
