October 3
- Lights, Camera, Avenue - Hocus Pocus @ Avenue East Cobb: Gather in East Cobb’s hometown hangout to kick back, relax, + enjoy movie classics on the jumbo LED screen starting at 6PM on the first Thursday of the month in April – October.
- Scary Movies at The Strand: Scream (1996) @ Strand Marietta: A year after the murder of her mother, a teenage girl is terrorized by a masked killer who targets her and her friends by using scary movies as part of a deadly game.
October 5
- Miss Candy Kiss Pageant @ Marietta Middle School: Every contestant will be awarded a Ghost Candy crown, sash and a gift!
- Strand Ole Opry: Fa-BOO-lous Halloween Hits @ Strand Marietta: The Strand Ole Opry features a band of talented musicians on the banjo, upright bass, fiddle, guitar (and maybe a washboard or two), a host of guest vocalists, and good ole southern storytelling (Opry hosts have never let the truth stand in the way of a good story) for an afternoon of folksy entertainment on The Strand stage.
October 10
- Scary Movies at The Strand: Young Frankenstein (1974) @ Strand Marietta: Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein is a nostalgic, hilarious spoof-tribute to classic horror films featuring a fantastic performance by Gene Wilder. One of writer-producer-director Mel Brooks' best films, Young Frankenstein was made with obvious affection for Mary Shelley's classic novel about corpse revival by a God-aspiring mad scientist.
October 11
- Flour Power Cooking Studios Boo Bash @ Flour Power - East Cobb: Join us for a fang-tastic Halloween event! We’ll be making some spooky foods and giving away door prizes!
- Movie Night - Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween @ Cobb Civic Center: Load up the kids and your favorite movie snacks and get creeped out at our outdoor screening of Goosebumps 2.
October 12
- Tales from the Rails @ Southern Museum: These tours include an interactive component in the lobby for guests to enter a Civil War aid station and ask questions of a Living Historian concerning medical practices during the mid-1800’s.

- Chalktoberfest @ Historic Marietta Square: The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is proud to present Chalktoberfest, an exciting combination of our annual Chalk Art Festival with our Craft Beer Festival.
October 17
- Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre Scary Movies at The Strand: I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) @ Strand Marietta: Four young friends bound by a tragic accident are reunited when they find themselves being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town.
October 19
- Pop-In for Family Fun - Boo! Halloween @ Marietta History Center: Explore the Marietta History Center on the 3rd Saturday of each month with family fun activities! Activities are held from 10 am. to 4 p.m. in the galleries.
- Fall-O-Ween Fest @ Swift-Cantrell Park: City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation beckons area ghouls, ninjas, superheroes, and princesses to “Spook-Central Park” for its annual Fall-O-Ween Fest at Swift-Cantrell Park on Saturday, October 19 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Admission is free.
- HarvestFest and Scarecrows in The Square @ Mareitta Square: Marietta’s HarvestFest is an annual festival held each October. The festival includes the HarvestFest Arts & Crafts Show, Touch-A-Truck, Scarecrows In The Square, Costume Contest, Pie Eating Contest presented by Pie Bar, and Halloween Happenings kid’s festival. The festival is sure to please the whole family!
- Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Fall Festival @ Mt Zion UMC: 🍂 Join us for our Fall Festival on October 19 from 4-7 PM! 🎉 Enjoy delicious food, fun games, live music, and more. Bring the whole family, invite your friends and neighbors for a fantastic evening of fall fun! See you there!

- Infinity: Halloween Mega Battle @ HobbyTown: Come join us at noon on Oct 20th at Hobbytown USA for the third annual Infinity Halloween Mega Battle! Players will be working together (for once!) to survive the terrors native to planet Shinju! Bring your team of soldiers, collect the research materials left behind, and escape before you suffer the same fate as the research team! The reinforcement rules will also be used and proxies are more than welcome!
- WCG Digimon Card Game Halloween Event @ Win Condition Games: Spooky times in the digital world! This special event helps to celebrate the scary festivities of Halloween!

- Scary Movies at The Strand: Friday The 13th (1980) @ Strand Marietta: When a group of teenage camp counselors attempts to re-open an abandoned summer camp with a tragic past, they are stalked by a mysterious relentless killer.

- Scary Movies at The Strand: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) @ Strand Marietta: Visit The Strand on Friday night, October 25th for two showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
- Candy Crawl @ Downtown Kennesaw: Get ready for a spooktacular evening in Downtown Kennesaw! Join the Kennesaw Downtown Merchants Association and the Downtown Development Authority on Friday, October 25, for a night of thrills, chills and Halloween fun!

- Fall Festival of Fun @ Jim R Miller Park and Event Center: Join Cobb PARKS for their annual Fall Festival of Fun at Jim R. Miller Park and Event Center! It's a hauntingly good time from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th, 2024.
- KGP 5K: Nightmare on Main 5K @ Downtown Kennesaw: The Kennesaw Grand Prix Series is the premier 5K race series in North Georgia. The course is mostly asphalt and is flat and fast. The race begins at Kennesaw First Baptist Church, heads north on Main Street, meanders through Swift-Cantrell Park, and finishes in historic downtown Kennesaw. Runners will cross the finish line into a post-race party for the awards ceremony and celebration.
- Stitch's Halloween Party @ Sparkles: You're invited to Stitch's Halloween Party
- Magic the Gathering: Hobbytown Halloween Horror @ HobbyTown: Celebrate Halloween with a spook-tacular event that invites players to participate in Sealed Deck events with a chilling twist.

- Marietta PAL Fall Festival Family Fun House @ Hugh L Grogan Jr Community Center: Marietta PAL’s Fall Fesitval Family Fun House is fun for all ages! Enjoy vendors, interactive games, fun photo ops, costume prizes, food, and more at the Hugh L. Grogan Jr. Community Center.
- Avenue Kids - BOO BASH @ Avenue East Cobb: Bring your tots to Avenue East Cobb for an afternoon they won’t forget at Avenue Kids! Each month will feature themed activities, crafts, games + more to help their imagination grow. Avenue Kids is recommended for children under 7.

- Trunks or Treats @ Kennesaw Methodist Church: Join us for some fall festival fun! We will have decorated trunks with candy, bounce houses, a hotdog lunch, and more. Wear your favorite non-scary, family-friendly costume. Bring a basket for your treats.
- Fall Festival @ Burnt Hickory Church of Christ: Everyone is invited to join in the fall fun at our Community Fall Festival. It's free and there will be Trunk or Treat, games, food, a chili cook-off, pie contest, and more! Wear a costume if you like.
- Discover Price Park - Trick or Treat Through the Meadow @ Leone Price Park: Please join us for an evening of strolling through the meadow, making friends and trick or treating. Festivities begin at 5:00pm.
- Trunk or Treat @ Cheatham Hill Baptist Church: Join us for our annual TRUNK or TREAT EVENT at Cheatham Hill Baptist Church! Sunday, October 27th @ 5:00PM.
- Trunk or Treat @ St. Catherine's Episcopal Church: Join us for a free community event from 2-4 PM featuring a chili cook off, music, games, and candy. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon!

- Trunk or Treat @ Kiddie Academy of Kennesaw: We are excited to announce our First Annual Trunk or Treat event which is free for all families of the Kennesaw community. Come dressed in your best costumes and enjoy a spooktacular Halloween on October 30th from 6pm-8pm!

- Dave & Boo-ster's @ Dave & Busters Marietta: If you are looking for wicked good family fun, then we are the place you want to go! We carved out the perfect event on Halloween night for all ages.
- Fall Festival @ Avenue West Cobb: Join The Avenue West Cobb for our annual Fall Festival on Halloween, October 31st from 4-6 PM. Enjoy safe store-to-store trick-or-treating, pumpkins, balloon artists, maze, your favorite movie characters, strolling entertainers, pet costume contest and much more!
- Scary Movies at The Strand: Nightmare On Elm Street (1984): Written and directed by Wes Craven, Nightmare on Elm Street is about teenager Nancy Thompson who must uncover the dark truth concealed by her parents after she and her friends become targets of the spirit of a serial killer with a bladed glove in their dreams, in which if they die, it kills them in real life.
